The Sindh govt has declared Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad as calamity-hit spaces after five spells of heavy rains performed havoc within the province claiming 80 lives and destructive private and non-private belongings.
Sindh 's executive spokesperson Murtaza Wahab posted the notification on Twitter and said, "Sindh 's government has designated 20 Sindh districts to be affected by the 1958 Sindh Calamities Act."
In the "exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Sindh National Calamities (Prevention & Relief) Act-1958," the Sindh government declared 20 districts to be "Calamity-affected areas"
